It’s time to highlight some of the great events going on in Richmond this autumn!
This coming Saturday, the World Heritage Festival will be coming to Brown’s Isle - cultural food, art, crafts, and folk dance performances from the cultures of Bolivia, Brazil, Egypt, Hungary, India, Japan, Lebanon, Romania, Turkey.
Admission is free, and the event is fun for the whole family!
Also this Saturday, the Soul Vegan Block Party will be hosted in Chimborazo Park from 1 to 6 pm. This free event will introduce goers to healthy, ethically conscious, plant-based lifestyles in an inclusive environment. Guest can expect food, speakers, cooking demos, live music, and dancing!
Starting at six in the evening at Bandy Field Nature Park, this inclusive community celebration will highlight the unique culture of Richmond’s west end. The Richmond Symphony will be performing pieces from classic composers like Beethoven and Vivaldi, to more contemporary pieces, like William’s E.T. score.
Visitors can expect various performances from local artists, food trucks, a beer garden, vendors, and a kid’s zone!
Celebrate at one of Virginia’s largest Oktoberfest gatherings at St Benedict Church! Enjoy over 50 craft and German beers, as well as German and Austrian wine. As an extra bonus, there will also be authentic German food and desserts.
Hosted at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, Richmond’s Festival of India 2019 will go on for the entire weekend. See classical and modern Indian performances, as well as music and dancing. Visitors can also expect a wide variety of Indian cuisine - both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options will be available.
Coming October 5th, its the 31st annual 2nd Street Festival! Held in Jackson Ward’s historic 2nd Street, festival goers can expect live music, delicious street food, performances, vendors, and artists, as well as a taste of some of Richmond’s deep-rooted culture.
Hosted at the Acca Shrine Center on Bellevue Ave in Northside, the RVA Street East Festival will feature food, beverages, live music, craft vendors, and activities for the whole family. Beer and wine will be served, as well as culinary options for any taste.
That’s right, it’s time for Folk Fest! We’ll be going over all you should expect from Folk Fest this year soon, so stay tuned!
Held at the Old Dominion Building at the Richmond Raceway, the Richmond Mac & Cheese Festival will feature top chefs, food trucks, and food vendors all serving up their own spin on Mac & Cheese. There will also be craft beers, wines, ciders, and live music!
The Annual Scott's Addition Pumpkin Festival takes place on Saturday, October 19 on Boulevard, and features activities for all ages. Guest can expect great live music, local cuisine and beverages, a kids area and more!
