Raleigh St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival
Grab your green and head downtown this Saturday for the Annual Raleigh St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Wearin’ ‘O Green Festival. The parade kicks off the celebration at 10am with Bagpipes, Irish dancers, floats and anyone else who wants to be Irish for the day. After the parade makes its way through downtown, the party really starts with the Wearin’ ‘O Green Festival. Enjoy Irish food, brews and tunes, and learn more about Irish culture from Celtic vendors. The party will last until 5:30pm, so make sure to get there early so you don’t get lost in Raleigh’s sea of green.
12th Annual Raleigh St. Pat's Pub Crawl
You can’t celebrate St. Paddy’s Day without a good ol’ bar crawl. So this Saturday head downtown for the 12th annual Raleigh St. Pats Pub Crawl. The day long crawl will benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and while you are helping kick childhood cancers butt, you will also get to party, Leprechaun style. Crawlers will receive a bar crawl t-shirt, a shooter at each participating bar, access to the official after party, and the chance to win tons of Irish prizes. Make sure to grab tickets before they sell out, because you won’t want to miss partying the Irish way in Raleigh this St. Patrick’s Day.
A Celtic Celebration with the North Carolina Symphony
Join the North Carolina Symphony on a journey through the sounds of the Emerald Isle this St. Patrick’s Day and grab tickets to their performance of, A Celtic Celebration. A Celtic Celebration will be exactly that, a celebration of Celtic culture. The North Carolina Symphony will play traditional Celtic and Irish tunes, and the O’Hare Irish Dancers will take the stage for a special St. Patrick’s Day performance. After the concert you’ll carry with you the luck of the Irish as you head to downtown Raleigh for a night on the town.

Located across from North Carolina State University, the neighborhood favorite is hosting their own St. Paddy’s Day celebration with $3 Killians, $4 Guinness, $1 off Irish whiskey and all of the St. Patrick’s Day activities you can handle. The party kicks off at 11am and will be going all day long, so make sure to get there early and start St. Paddy’s Day with a hearty EVG brunch.
Cook Like the Irish at Sur La Table
Instead of heading to your usual brunch spot before a day of drinking, stop by the Sur La Table kitchen and learn to cook like the Irish. At Sur La Table you will learn new cooking skills that you can take back to your own kitchen and how to create a meal that you can easily replicate at home. On St. Patrick’s Day, Sur La Table is hosting an Irish Bread Making Class, where you will learns the ins and outs of kneading and rolling dough, and how to make traditional Irish soda bread and homemade sweet butter.

Whether you love Guinness or Jameson, you can’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day without them. So this year, make time to stop by one of your favorite Irish pubs for a pint.
