From whitewater rafting to kayaking and paddleboarding, the USNWC is the perfect place to check out for some of the water fun. And if water sports aren’t your thing, don’t worry, they’ve got everything from ziplining to rock climbing on dry land.

Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie and love the slides and rides, or funny shows and performances are more your speed, you’ll always find something that matches your definition of fun.
5. Eat Like a Local at Food Truck Fridays
The best way to experience Charlotte like a local is through their food or better yet, their food trucks. Food Truck Friday’s at Sycamore Brewing are the perfect way try out some local brews and snag some food from some of Charlotte’s best food trucks. You can’t go wrong with a Countryside IPA, a Papi Queso grilled cheese and night of fun on their patio.
6. Step into Local History at the Levine Museum
Experiencing the Queen City like a local, means learning about Charlotte’s diverse history. At the Levine Museum of the New South you will walk through the past and learn how it shaped what the city is today. Their Cotton Field to Skyscrapers exhibit features more than 1,000 artifacts, images, video clips, music and oral histories that examine the changes in the South since the Civil War.
7. See the Skyline at Fahrenheit
Your visit to Charlotte is not complete without a trip to the rooftop patio at Fahrenheit. This is the go to spot to get one of the best views of the Charlotte skyline and makes for the perfect Queen City photo op. Grab a spot on their patio and enjoy a meal while gazing up at one of the most beautiful sites in the city.
